Chemical Treatments

When needs must

home-page-icon-chemTrust K9’s chemical treatment is a long lasting barrier to fight against bed bugs in your home or place of work. A chemical spray will work against a bed bugs life cycle.

A bed bug will feed every 7-10 days and will lay every day. A bed bugs eggs can take up to 18 days to hatch. Once an egg hatches it will then go in search of its food source. We use this knowledge to create a barrier that the bugs will have to crawl across. This chemical barrier will kill adult bed bugs and nymphs.

Please view our FAQ’s page for further information on bed bugs and their life cycle.

Although a chemical spray isn’t the fastest treatment we offer for eradicating bed bugs, in certain circumstances it may be the only possible treatment.

Bed Bugs in rented accommodation

Bed bugs are one of the worst pests to have. When first discovering your bed bug problem it can be difficult to work out how you have picked up the problem. At Trust K9 we come across all types of bed bug scenarios.

If you are a landlord and your tenants have a bed bug problem it can be difficult to determine whose responsibility the bed bug infestation is. Who arranges a treatment? Who pays for the treatment? Depending on when the infestation started you can decide whose responsibility it is. Was the problem brought in by a previous tenant? Did the tenant have bedbugs in the previous property and has brought them in with them? These questions can usually be answered by the number of bed bugs being seen and the number of bites being received.

Bed Bugs in Public Places.

Whether you’re a care home, hotel or a hostel you are in an industry which is highly likely to come into contact with a bed bug infestation. In a large scale property it can be quite difficult to manage the problem as soon as it begins and also contain the bed bug problem before it spreads.

A visual search on one room can take anywhere between a minute and 45 minutes depending on how easy it is to find the evidence of the infestation. This will all depend on how long the problem has been in the area for. So if you have 20 + rooms to search, this could take a pest controller days. If no evidence is found the best a pest controller can say is there is no evidence of bed bugs. This does not confirm that there is not a bed bug infestation there.
